Habema Unit Conducted Patroli And Mobile Medical Service In Intan Jaya, Bilogai Residents Welcomed Happily 

INTAN JAYA - Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad is one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) HABEMA. The 509 Task Forces is currently carrying out the mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the region of Intan Jaya Regency. On Saturday, 20 June 2024, the 509 Task Forces held a territorial program entitled "Door-to-Door Mobile Medical Services" while on patrol in Bilogai Village, Sugapa District. This territorial program is carried out in order to help local residents with difficulties in the health sector, which is one of the basic needs of the community.

In carrying out its routine border security tasks, the 509 Task Forces actively carries out security patrol in its area of responsibility. On the Saturday, the 509 Task Forces Medical Team joined the Patrol Team, while monitoring the medical condition of the residents of the Bilogai Village. Through this security patrol, the Medical Team has the opportunity to go from house to house, while providing medical services. The "Door-to-Door Medical Services" service included medical general checkup, treatment of minor illnesses, free providing of vitamins to the locals, as well as short message delivery about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and living a healthy lifestyle.

The implementation of this mobile medical service, in particular, was carried out by Soldiers from the 509 Task Forces, especially from the Post J2 and led directly by the Commander of Post J2 in the name of First Lieutenant Muh. Fardhana. When the Patrol Team and Medical Team of the 509 Task Forces began to enter the Bilogai Village area, the local residents welcomed the presence of the TNI Soldiers. By maintaining security during patrol activities and medical services, there is harmonious communication interaction between the Soldiers and the locals through inclusive Social Communication.

Implementation of the territorial program held by the KOOPS HABEMA unit is an execution of the TNI's support in providing basic services to the Papuan people and is in line with the Presidential Instruction to the TNI Commander as stated in the Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare Development in Papua. This territorial program is also an implementation of the Soft Power which is part of the strategy for resolving the Papua problem by TNI Commander, General Agus Subiyanto, under the title of "Smart Power".

"Patrol activities and Mobile Medical Services in Bilogai Sugapa Village is one of the TNI concerns for the local community, especially support for providing basic services, as an effort to accelerate the development of Papua, " said the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
